Durres, Kruja & the capital Tirana

Starting from the port of Durres, we drive towards the city of Kruja.

On arrival in Kruja we visit the Museum of Skender Beu, the National Hero of Albania, and the Ethnographic Museum. Free time for souvenir shopping in the local traditional market of Kruja.

The tour continues with drive through the countryside to the capital of Albania, Tirana.
On arrival in Tirana, we visit the National Historical Museum and the Mosque of Etem Bey.

Lunch in local restaurant in Tirana (salad, local starters, main dish choice of roasted lamb served with fresh yogurt, or, minced beef steak with oven baked potatoes, fruit, mineral water).

After our visits in the museums in Tirana, we enjoy a short scenic drive of the capital city before our return trip to Durres port.

The traditional city of Kruja features stony paths with large steps. The walking distance from where the bus stops to the Museum of Skender Beu is 300m. This tour is not recommended for people on wheelchairs or with severe walking difficulties.
